De Interwinngroep is a firmly rooted Dutch family business with a rich history, a clear vision, and a contemporary approach. From our headquarters in Winschoten, we serve clients across various sectors with integrated solutions for interior design, installation technology, document management, and audiovisual systems. Over the course of more than 80 years, the Interwinning Group has grown into a market leader, comprising five specialized companies united under one group.

Our Origin: Craftsmanship Since 1945
The foundation of the Interwinngroep was laid in 1945, when Gerard H. Scholte established the Scholte company in Winschoten. In the early years, the focus was on furniture repair and the making of wooden children's toys. During the 1960s, attention shifted to ship interior woodwork, shop fittings, pharmacies, and laboratory furniture. In the early 1970s, hospital interiors also became part of the portfolio.
After the untimely passing of Mr. Scholte in 1975, the company was continued and expanded by G.P.J. Helmers, who eventually took over the business. In 1989, the name Scholte B.V. was changed to Interfurn B.V., marking the formation of the Interwin Group: a collective of companies united by a shared philosophy, a distinctive identity, and common ambitions. In 2011, the group was passed on to the next generation—the sons of Mr. Helmers.
